You would be informed immediately your completed application form is received. Please realize that your application is not definite. Your application will be studied within 24 – 48 hours but may take up to a week during busier periods. Fees/Deposit Payment
- We do not uprightly decide program fees because we want to work with volunteers/interns to work out a favorable fee. Usually, most volunteers are denied volunteering only because they do not meet up with specify amount charged by most volunteer programs. We want to arrest this such situation by providing an affordable and acceptable fee based on volunteer/intern budget. You will also receive an email after your welcome pack with your full quote and payment methods. You will then need to process your deposit or full placement fees payment negotiated and agreed upon by both Volunteer Liberia and applicant. Once that is done, we will provide you with a quote document. A deposit of US $200 of the Payment will be made via wire bank transfer or via international money transfer. The deposit is later deducted from the total program fee. This will enable us to arrange your airport collection, reserve a bed in the house and provide supporting documentation for your visa application and secure your trip.
Placement & Flight Confirmation
- Once payment has been made, we shall send you your program information, host family and other information to you in a reasonably possible time (at least one week). At which time we will also request balance of your program cost is due 30-50 days prior to your start date. If your preferred start date is within 30-50 days you will be required to pay the full program cost to confirm your place on the program prior to your departure. Program placements are made on a first come, first-serve basis and your place is not reserved until you have made your payment and received your confirmation from us. Please do not book your flights prior to receiving this.
Visa Application & Supporting Documentation
- You will be required to email us a scanned copy of his or her passport and flight schedule, our local team here in Liberia will process an airport visa within 10 days. If you choose to apply for your visa locally, we can help you provide you with a letter of invitation to help you in your visa application process.
Final Check & Collection Details
- Two weeks Before your departure from your country, inform Volunteer Liberia by E-mail telling us your date of arrival, the airline, the flight number, and time of arrival. This will enable us to organize to meet you at the airport.
